Here I am, online after our performance of Show and Tell at the Arcola Theatre. Now, a bit of background into the play. The play involves a group of “hormonal” teenagers who believe that their teacher is a prostitute, and therefore investigate. It is a comical play, and is performed with a fast pace, lasting no longer than an hour.
We arrived at the Theatre at 3:30PM, but had to wait 45 minutes for the previous play to finish. Once we had go into the actual theatre, we realised it was a lot different from what we had expected. The stage has 3 audiences in tiers, whilst the lights were low on the ceiling, and there was a lot. After a length setup and practice for some of the fine details, involving two mice, we started.
The actual performance went brilliantly, credit to the actors, and the three people stuck in the cupboard controlling the lights and sound (Adam and Paul). Stage did a great job, led by the great Jo. A few mishaps happened, involving a door not opening, a door opening when it wasn’t meant to, and some spilt liquid.
Peter took some photos whilst we were down there, as well as on the coach journey home. (If any pictures are at an angle, most likely I took them :P). You can find them at his flickr at http://www.flickr.com/photos/nickstone333/sets/72157600150445843/)
